In 2016, two 3 MW landmark briquetting plants were piloted in Bkassine and Andket to transform forestry and agricultural residues into high quality sustainable heating fuels. The plants provide direct benefits to sustainable forestry management and reduce forest fires in the areas. They create direct full-time employment to up-to 6 workers that operate and manage the plant, along with indirect employment in raw material collection, forestry management and sales.
