The Biomass stoves for host communities is a project that was implemented in 2015 in response of the Syrian crisis and its impacts on the Lebanese host communities. The UNDP CEDRO project funded by the German Cooperation distributed 594 wood briquetting stoves to provide sustainable heating options to the most impacted beneficiaries in the areas of Akkar and Bekaa. The stoves are rated at 5-7 kW capacity and can heat a room of 100 sqm.
