The guideline on Net-metering is a manual for installers and evaluators of grid connected solar PV systems designed for self – generation with the potential of back feeding into the grid any excess production under the “net – metering” scheme. To optimize the benefits of net-metering it is important to consider the integration requirements of the inverters, mainly those related to safety and quality of service. Case studies from implemented small scaled on-grid PV systems by the CEDRO project have been used. The guideline provides an overview of the grid integration and connection point characteristics, in addition to the characteristics of the appropriate meters and administrative aspects of the billing periods.
