This report is a national study conducted by the UNDP CEDRO team in assistance with AEMS to evaluate the impact of the Syrian crisis and the influx of displaced Syrians on the Lebanese power sector.
A sample survey was conducted on both formal and informal settlements which provided actual measurements of the power consumption in both localities. Furthermore, data has been collected from the Ministry of Energy and Water and Electricite du Liban which allowed the setting of a baseline and the validation of the measured and surveyed data.
Finally, a list of prioritised recommendations has been detailed.
