Banque du Liban is a legal public entity enjoying financial and administrative autonomy, it is exclusive issuer of national currency, the regulator of the banking sector and is assigned to coordinate with the government the monetary and fiscal policies of the country. In 2013 the UNDP CEDRO project funded by the Spanish Government and the BDL co-financed the implementation of a hydroponic intensive green roof on one of its buildings. The green roof spans over 716 sqm and is designed to save the building 10% of its energy consumption.
