The agricultural sector has a relatively low share of Lebanon's GDP output when compared to other sectors such as the services and industry. However, the sector still employs a large segment of the Lebanese labor force. The CEDRO project implemented several hybrid solar PV-diesel systems in food storage facilities, agricultural markets and one agricultural NGO. The project also focused on the sustainable management of local forests and implemented two biomass briquetting plants in the North and South of Lebanon.
