Arc en Ciel is an environmental and social NGO, founded in 1985. The NGO operates through five core programs, namely, Agriculture and Environment, Mobility and Health, Responsible Tourism, Youth Empowerment, and Social Support. The Domaine de Taanayel, Bekaa valley is managed since 2009 by Arc en Ciel, it is a 560 acres natural park that welcomes 120,000 visitors per year. The domain's main activities are centered around agricultural awareness and development. In 2018, the CEDRO UNDP project funded by the Kingdom of the Netherlands implemented a 60 kWp solar PV system on the visitor carport structure. The system is designed to save the facility $13,000 per year in electricity cost and 60 tons per year in CO2 emissions.
