The public hospital in Hermel hosts 26 beds and serves the community surrounding Hermel, Bekaa. In 2012, the UNDP CEDRO project funded by the Spanish Government, implemented 4000L solar water heater that is designed to heat 4,000 liters of water, saving a total of $4,000 per year and 5 tons of CO2.
