The public school in Kfaroumane is located in the qaza of Nabatieh, South Lebanon. The school is attended by 680 Lebanese students, 60 syrian refugees students and 57 staff members. In 2018, the UNDP CEDRO project funded by the dutch kingdom, implemented a 30 kWp solar PV system with 120kWh lead-acid battery storage integrated with their on-site diesel generator. The system is designed to save the school $7,200 per year on electricity and fuel cost and 31 tons per year in CO2 emissions.
