The public hospital in Bcharreh, North Lebanon hosts 12 beds and serves the community in the surrounding area. In 2012, the UNDP CEDRO project funded by the Spanish Government implemented a 1000L solar water heater system that is designed to heat 1,000 liters of water and saves $1,200 from the fuel cost and 4 tons of CO2 yearly.
