The elementary public school in Ehmej, Byblos, Mount Lebanon hosts 140 students and staff members. In 2011, the UNDP CEDRO project funded by the Spanish Government implemented a 1.8 kWp solar PV system with batteries to save $394 per year of electricity cost. The system saves on the environment 2.8 tons of CO2 per year.
