Habshit Public School

Habshit public school is located in Akkar, North Lebanon and hosts 86 students and 15 staff members. In 2009, the UNDP CEDRO project funded by the Spanish Government implemented a 1.125 kWp solar PV system with batteries to save $246 per year of electricity cost. The system saves on the environment 1.7 tons of CO2 emissions per year. In 2019 with a funding from the kingdom of the Netherlands, the lead-acid battery set was upgraded and the inverter fixed.
