The Chahhar public hospital hosts 75 beds and serves the community in Chahhar, Mount Lebanon and its surroundings. In 2012, the UNDP CEDRO project funded by the Spanish Government implemented a 4000L solar water heater system that is designed to heat 4,000 liters of water and saves $4,000 on fuel cost and 17 tons of CO2 per year.
