El Tleil public school is located in Akkar, North Lebanon and hosts 55 students and 15 staff members. In 2009, the UNDP CEDRO project funded by the Spanish Government implemented a 1.8 kWp solar PV system with batteries to save $394 per year of electricity cost. The system saves on the environment 2.8 tons of CO2 emissions per year. In 2019 with funding from the Netherlands Kingdom, the lead-acid battery set was changed.
