The public school of Kfarhata is located in the qaza of Zgharta, North Lebanon. The school hosts 105 students and staff members. In 2011, the UNDP CEDRO project funded by the Spanish Government implemented a 1.8 kWp solar PV system with batteries to save $394 per year of electricity cost. The system saves on the environment 2.8 tons of CO2 emissions per year.
