Aana Intermediate School

The intermediate public school in Aana is located in the qaza of West Bekaa, Bekaa valley. The school is the only educational facility in the village, is attended by 70 students and employs 14 staff members. In 2009, the UNDP CEDRO project funded by the Spanish Government implemented a 1.125 kWp solar PV system with lead-acid battery storage. The system is designed to save the school $246 per year in electricity cost and 1.7 tons of CO2 emissions per year.
