The municipality of Joub Jannine is located in the qaza of West Bekaa, Bekaa Valley. The municipality employs three permanent staff members and hosts a public library that can receive 20 students/visitors per day. In 2009, the UNDP CEDRO project funded by the Spanish Government implemented a 1.8 kWp solar PV system with batteries to save $394 per year of electricity cost. The system saves on the environment 2.8 tons of CO2 emissions per year.
