The Akkoura municipality building is located in the village of Akkoura, Jbeil, Mount Lebanon , and hosts 5 permanent staff members. The UNDP CEDRO project funded by the Spanish Government implemented in 2012 a 1.8 kWp solar PV system with batteries to save $394 per year of electricity cost. The system saves on the environment 2.8 tons of CO2 per year.
