The health care center in Hosh El Oumara, Zahle, Bekaa valley provides various medical services to 50 patients per day and employs 21 staff members. In 2011, the UNDP CEDRO project funded by the Spanish Government implemented a 1.8 kWp solar PV system with batteries to save $394 per year of electricity cost. The system saves on the environment 2.8 tons of CO2 emissions per year.
