Dar al Salam

The Sea Mosque foundation is a charitable NGO that was founded in 1963, it runs various health and social program. The Dar al Salam social care center was inaugurated in 1991, currently, it houses 60-75 elderly patients and physically disabled people. The center provides its guests medical and emotional support under the supervision of a team of doctors and social and psychological practitioners. In 2018, the UNDP CEDRO project funded by the Netherland Kingdom implemented a 70 kWp solar PV system that is designed to save $13,000 per year on electricity and diesel cost. Environmentally, the system is designed to save 72 tons of CO2 emissions per year.
