Ain Yaacoub Mixed Public School

The Ain Yaaqoub public school is located in the village of Ain Yaaqoub, Akkar, North Lebanon. It hosts a total of 200 students and 22 staff members. In 2009, the UNDP CEDRO project funded by the Spanish Government implemented a 1.8 kWp solar PV system with batteries to save $394 per year of electricity cost. The system saves the environment 2.8 tons of CO2 per year. In 2019 with funding from the Netherlands Kingdom, the lead-acid battery set was changed and the charge controller fixed.
