The public hospital in Bouar hosts 57 beds and serves the community in the surrounding area of Kesrwan Ftouh, Mount Lebanon. In 2012, the UNDP CEDRO project funded by the Spanish Government implemented a 6000L solar water heater system that is designed to heat 6,000 liters of water and saves $7,100 on fuel cost and 28 tons of CO2 per year.
