The public school in Ayteet, Tyr, South Lebanon is attended by 200 students and employs 15 staff members. In 2012, the UNDP CEDRO project funded by the Spanish Government implemented a 1.125 kWp solar PV system with lead-acid battery storage. The system is designed to save $246 per year on electricity cost and 1.7 tons of CO2 per year.
