Al Qaa intermediate public school is located in the village of Al Qaa, Baalback, Bekaa and hosts a total of 85 students and 30 staff members. In 2011, the UNDP CEDRO project funded by the Spanish Government implemented a 1.8 kWp solar PV system with batteries to save $394 per year of electricity cost. The system saves on the environment 2.8 tons of CO2 per year. In 2018, the lead-acid battery set was replaced by the UNDP CEDRO project funded by the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
