Al Manara Secondary public school is located in the village of Manara, West Bekaa and hosts 514 students and 50 staff members. In 2012, the UNDP CEDRO project funded by the Spanish Government implemented a 1.8 kWp solar PV system with batteries to save $394 per year of electricity cost. The system saves on the environment 2.8 tons of CO2 per year.
