The municipality of Houla, Marjeyoun, Nabatieh, South Lebanon employs 4 permanent staff members. In 2010, the UNDP CEDRO project funded by the Spanish Government implemented a 1.125 kWp solar PV system with batteries to save $246 per year of electricity cost. The system saves on the environment 1.7 tons of CO2 emissions per year.
