Hekr El Dahri public school is located in Akkar, North Lebanon and hosts 120 students and 14 staff members. In 2009, the UNDP CEDRO project funded by the Spanish kingdom implemented a 1.125 kWp solar PV system with batteries to save $246 per year of electricity cost. The system saves on the environment 1.7 tons of CO2 emissions per year.
