The municipality of Mayfouq is located in the qaza of Byblos, Mount Lebanon. The municipality employs five permanent staff members. It received in 2012, a 1.8 kWp solar PV system with lead-acid batteries from the CEDRO UNDP project funded by the Spanish Government. The system is designed to save the municipality $394 per year in electricity cost and 2.8 tons of CO2 emissions per year.
