The public library in Qantara is located in the municipality building of the village of Qantara, Marjeyoun, Nabatieh, South Lebanon. The municipality employs a total of five permanent staff members. In 2012, the UNDP CEDRO project funded by the Spanish Government implemented a 1.125 kWp solar PV system with batteries to save $246 per year of electricity cost. The system saves on the environment 1.7 tons of CO2 emissions per year.
