The Rajem Issa public school is located in the congregation of Wadi Khaled villages in Akkar, North Lebanon. The school is attended by 305 students per year and employs 30 staff members. In 2009, the UNDP CEDRO project funded by the Spanish Government implemented a 1.8 kWp solar PV system with batteries to save $394 per year of electricity cost. The system saves on the environment 2.8 tons of CO2 emissions per year.
