Yanta Public School

The Yanta public school is located in the qaza of Rachaya, Bekaa Valley. The school is attended by 97 students per year and employs 22 staff members. In 2012, the UNDP CEDRO project funded by the Spanish kingdom implemented a 2.7 kWp solar PV system with lead-acid battery storage. The system is designed to save the school $591 per year in electricity cost and 4.1 tons of CO2 emissions per year. In 2019, the led-acid battery system was replaced by the UNDP CEDRO project funded by the kingdom of Netherlands.
