Zahleh Public School

The public school of Zahleh, Bekaa valley, is attended by 200 students per year and employs 35 staff members. The school received in 2012 a grant for a 2.7 kWp solar PV system with lead-acid storage from the Spanish Government. The system was implemented by the UNDP CEDRO project and is designed to save the school $591 per year in electricity cost and 4.1 tons of CO2 emissions per year.
